John Schroeter is a deeply experienced professional delivering innovative, award-winning solutions to ambitious marketing and communications challenges. By adapting best practices-driven methodologies such as Quality-Function Deployment (QFD) for product marketing, branding, and communications objectives, his work has generated patents, earned industry awards, and secured substantial media footprints for his clients while helping them meet and exceed aggressive business goals.
Schroeter’s more than twenty years of marketing and communications experience spans leading-edge semiconductors and RFID communications to consumer magazines and advanced automotive technologies. His seminal book, Surviving the ASIC Experience [Prentice Hall] put technology-oriented companies on the fast-track to
designing new products in revolutionary ways through the use of application-specific integrated circuits. In the RFID (radio frequency identification) space, his work has been published by every trade publication serving the industry. Moreover, his marketing work in RFID netted a Frost & Sullivan “Innovation of the Year” award. Schroeter also launched, managed, and sold a successful new category in consumer periodicals when he was among the first to package an audio CD with a newsstand magazine. Moving from print, the numerous “Web 2.0” platforms Schroeter has architected are working to break new ground in the exploitation of emerging business models, content development, social marketing, and digital media.
Schroeter is an award-winning music producer and publisher, working with artists including Paul Simon, Phil Keaggy, Earl Klugh, Chet Atkins, and many others. He is the author of the popular book, Between the Strings—the Secret Lives of Guitars, with introduction by BB King.
He holds a Bachelors of Science in Marketing Management with extensive coursework in electronics engineering.
